Book "The Forgotten Knight" by Christopher Vale

About the Book: Camelot's greatest warrior is the knight history has forgotten.
Following a fierce battle by King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table to defend the home of Princess Gwynevere, Merlin the Magician is deeply shaken by a terrifying premonition of the fall of Camelot. Guided by magic, Merlin travels to the distant Empire of China where he meets a boy who Merlin believes will one day rescue the Queen and save Camelot from destruction.

About the Author: Christopher Vale lives in Florida with his beautiful wife, three adorable children and two fluffy dogs. The idea for his first book series "Dracengard" began when he was in a playwriting class in college in 1995 and evolved over the decades to become what it is now. My Review: Author Christopher Vale has an easy and light writing style, very enjoyable of reading. In this particular book, he retells the tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. The new character that is introduced is a Chinese boy (Sheng), trained as a warrior, that is foreseen by Merlin as the savior of Camelot from destruction.
This is a beautiful and touching story of loyalty, love, friendship and trust. The author is a magnificent story teller and his descriptions of the battle scenes, the overall environment and all the characters he brings to life is superb. You will love and cheer for our new hero, in his journey to overcome his troubled relationship with his father and all his guilty feelings for not being able to save him and mainly for not being able to save the love of his life.
I recommend this book to the permanent library of all readers who enjoy a very well written fantasy book. They will not be disappointed.
